#ScienceUpFirst, Art Alongside: Accuracy 🎯
When the purpose of your organization is to fight misinformation, you can’t be the one spreading false information. So we triple-check every post to make sure all of our i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. We send everything to external expert vetters, who check that we’ve understood the latest science and are communicating it accurately. If it turns out that we made a mistake, we will promptly remove the false information and issue a correction.
Today’s amazing artist is Maedeh Mosaverdeh of Alberta! 🎨🍃
Her illustration reminds us that seeing things carefully and closely helps us to understand them better. When we are facing something that we are unfamiliar with, it is better to spend some time examining different aspects of it. The more we know about it, the more accurate our understanding of it would be.
Maedeh Mosaverzadeh is an Iranian visual artist based in Calgary. Maedeh creates illustrations and animations to discuss issues surrounding plastic pollution.
You can find her work at @ayellowland where Maedeh shares her artistic practice and ideas.
